Ah yes, so little control! I watched my little viral video blow up on TikTok and just had to laugh. I posted it six months ago and I really don't know how or why it suddenly went nuts last week. You're right about authenticity. We can't control the outcome of all this stuff, but we may as well enjoy how we show up.
This is exactly what I needed to read today. I'm new to writing on Substack, and I've been holding back because what I've been inclined to write/post hasn't exactly fit in with what I thought I'd write about here. But this week I came around to thinking that it's better to share that, for instance, I'm anxious about my neighbors' construction project even though it has nothing to do with my move from MA to PA. I really feel like there's so much happening in between whatever is "on theme" that to ignore it is to deny ourselves the very authenticity we all hope to share.
Love this, Daisy! So much truth here. You won’t see me posting about knitting, it will feel forced for sure!
well now I know if I see you posting about knitting you've been kidnapped and I will send a rescue team
LOL

This makes a lot of sense. (And I love @DearNina)
